History
Based in Munich, Germany, where supply chain and engineering are part of the cultural fabric, the Barkawi Group was founded in 1994 to provide supply chain services and solutions for companies across industries. The Barkawi Group now includes 7 different businesses, each with different, but complementary offerings and visions. Together, they have 30 offices and 1,200 employees around the globe.
Barkawi Management Consultants was the first to start, becoming the foundation for innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit. Part of the consulting offering included developing custom solutions on salesforce and AWS for many fortune 500 clients. Inspired by this experience, ketteQ was founded in 2018 with the mission of providing a powerful and flexible supply chain planning and visibility solution platform on salesforce.com and AWS clouds.
With global headquarters in Atlanta Georgia USA, the German history and engineering heritage is captured in the company’s name. ‘Kette’ means chain in German and the Q is from the term IQ. Essentially, ketteQ translates to Supply Chain Intelligence.
